Beverage and Brewing
Polestar offers a wide range of sterilizable / autoclavable products for measuring beverage and brewing processes. Polestar’s proprietary technology and technical expertise enable solutions for a wide range of application requirements.
Important applications in beverage and brewing are controlled by measuring pH, oxygen, and CO2. Polestar’s sensing technology is reliable, accurate, versatile, and maintenance free and allows the user to simplify and optimize their processes, saving time and money. For example, Polestar’s optical oxygen sensing technology covers a measurement range from sub-ppb to 100% oxygen in either gas or liquid phase. Sensors can be configured to be mounted in pipes, tanks, or used in portable measurement systems. Polestar’s transmitters are robust to withstand the rigorous environments of industrial settings, and the sensors are USP Class VI certified and do not contain glass. Sensors are shipped pre-calibrated, but the user can also conduct a simple standardization at any time.
Oxygen has a profound effect on the flavor and quality of food and beverage products. Therefore, it is important to monitor oxygen and carbon dioxide in the processing of these products.. Polestar’s FluoroPhase technology can measure oxygen and carbon dioxide in headspace or dissolved in liquids as well as in situ measuring of pH. The technology can be used in conducting shelf life studies, quality control, research and development, and process control. Polestar’s sensing technology is reliable, accurate, versatile, and maintenance free allowing the user to simplify and optimize the process, saving time and money.
