Needham Heights, Massachusetts, October, 2009 - Polestar Technologies, a leader in sensor research, technology and product development, announces the introduction of DeviceNet as part of its DSP Optical Process Monitoring system. Polestar’s DeviceNet allows users to manage all functions performed by the DSP4000 optical sensor system including setting the temperature, pressure, timing of measurements, units of measurement, enable or disable individual channels and perform one- or two-point calibrations. The control system can read measurements of pH, O2, CO2, and automatic gain control. With this new capability, Polestar’s DSP4000 optical sensor system can be fully integrated into bioprocessing systems and is compatible with Delta-V, BIONET, Invensys, Yokagawa and other distributed control systems.
